Felt like watching a good movie again (After ‘The pursuit of happiness’). This is not just introducing Rock to India. It has much more. It shows passion. It shows love. It shows struggle. It shows sacrifice. It shows style. It shows humour. And yes, It shows life. As the tagline says it’s about living the dream. what else i can hope in a good movie.
Watch it.. you will love it!!
Music is awesome. I can say, addictive!!
It must have been known to the reader on how Ram gopal varma takes on his reviewers in his blog. It’s worth reading that blog since it shows the other side to what a critic chooses to speak. A film ,whether good or bad, is made with months and years of patience, hard work and investment. seeing his blog, i understand the frustration a film maker goes through when a critic speaks out of his/her whims assuming a mastery over cinema making. If a film maker is responsible to make a good film equal responsibility lies with critic to evaluate it honestly . I myself had an opportunity to watch Sarkar Raj on first day and it marked a possitive impression upon me though it is full of violence and murders. To my disappointment, the reviews are flat for this movie.
Though this blog of RGV is personnal it throws light on how casual critics are while writing about a movie. It’s useful for the reader to understand to what extent one should go with a reviewer. Sometimes, I too fall into the kind of confusion which RGV mentioned in the blog where i fail to understand whether critic is actually praising or complaining. On the lighter side, I feel critics are overburdened to watch so many movies in a single day and to reach the targets by evening (since movies are released generally on friday ).
Aamir Khan, The Perfectionist is back again fulfilling all the promises and exceeding all the expectations surrounded him especially for wearing director’s hat this time. He has a unique strength to bring offbeat themes into main stream cinema. He proved it yet again!!
Watching TZP is a wonderful experience which brought the reminiscences of my childhood. It is a treat to watch the kid’s mischievous actions which look very natural. Aamir and the crew must have done a lot of ground work towards bringing the imagination of kids to the conscience of viewers. This is evident in the scene where ishant awasti, the child protagonist of the movie decodes 3*9 as 3. All the scenes rekindle the spirit of innocence and joy of childhood. For that matter, there are few scenes, which may be ignored, where ishant plays with nostrils, the scene in which he dances his own way and the worries he face when he comes to know that tomorrow he is leaving to boarding school.
While dealing with the psychological disorder of the kid technically it also showcased the pathetic way the kids are being brought up in our society. Every parent wants the kid to be a doctor or engineer being indifferent to the feelings and aspirations of the kid. The script and lyrics of the songs are very nice bringing sensibility to the situations. Aamir, as usual, has come up with stupendous performance as a teacher who identifies the problems faced by ishant and tries to convince the parents to acknowledge the feelings of ishant. The actor in the role of ishant’s father is terrific in his action, especially the scene where he regrets the way he brings up ishant. Music and back ground score is refreshing and carries the mood of the situations.
TZP is one of the best movies I had seen so far. It’s a kids movie every Adult must watch!! Please don’t miss it!!
Ravi.
lyrics of the songs still floating on my lips… dialogues in the movie still lingering over my mind… with lightened hearts and elevated spirits… it’s how i would like to describe my state of mind after watching my favourite movie in recent past …. ‘Happy Days’ Hangover….
The movie revolves around three characters, chandu-tyson and Rajesh and their female leads. This covers 4 years of their college life. The characterization of each one has it’s own sensitive differences which sekhar kammula maintained from the start till the end. Tyson’s character reflects so much of energy and attitude with lot of perseverance to get what he honestly beleives in. He gives so much of value to friendship that inspite of the betrayals, he stood for the well being of his frined just for the reason that he is his friend. Chandu’s character is a person who is completely honest with himself and who stands by his friend in all their endeavours. Rajesh’s character is full of innocence and charm associated with it. All female leads are apt for their roles and carry the girl next to door look. Appu’s role has so much of life in it. She did a commendable job as a girl who is unable to express her love openly.
Sekhar Kammula is doing a commendable job to create commercial success still serving the basic purpose of making a movie. He is creating his own genre of movies in telugu. He has a superb quality of capturing subtle emotions in our lives that nobody can resist to smile or to render a drop of tear.
At the end of the day it’s not a movie which u can sit and analyze. Go and feel the beauty of youthful joy and innocence. It’s a youthful family entertainer and it means it. For all desperate souls to watch a good telugu movie.. here is your time.
Many many thanks to sekhar kammula for making such a movie with full life and I wish ‘Happy days’ ahead for telugu cinema.
